Korean Masks

I am going to introduce you to traditional Korean masks. This topic was already presented in my last session with Mark. Now, this class in computer room is over my head. So I want to write this topic again.

Have you ever seen a Korean traditional mask? The Korean Mask has unique characteristics compared with those of other countries. They are more fun than serious. Other country's masks give strong impression with fear and dread. But Korean tradition mask give impression with fun. There are different the reason to make masks. Other country make mask to give fear. So They want to drive away bad soul and ghost. But korea traditional mask is made for teasing nobble. Because it is the one interesing to commoner with pained by hard working.

The representative Korean masks are "Hahoital", "Bongsantal", "Gangnyungtal" and so on. Almost masks are named by villages where mask is originated. We would dance or play with these masks in Korea. If you come to korea, i'll take you there. Exept korean.^^
