Warmer: Tell a photo raccoon chain story – Mark[Teacher Incredible] tells the story about the raccoons on the neighbors roof [Models the story so that they can write it later from the photos] and then has the students in pairs using the pictures of the incident re-tell the story in written form with a partner.   1. Listening "Would, could" Jack Johnson. Pre-listening questions paired activity. Naive listening without cloze then cloze introduced gently in pairs for correct, cooperative marking, discussion. Re-listening if necessary and then recast as a choral pronunciation drill.
  2. Grammar Discussion: Review of Assessment Quiz from week one with the complete grammar work for this session, in pairs, group, and with discussion.
  3. Presentation Partners – in pairs practice presenting you topic to a partner as a warm-up for tomorrow
  4. Listening/Reading/Writing – CNN Recorded News – Five daily news summaries listen to Track5 from Mark's PGIC File. Form into pairs with the 5 minutes per newscast conduct a running dictation after pre-listening with extracted text that match the news stories in general but not exactly. Alternating partners. Correct work and discuss topics. Present each new story to the class as a news casting team. Role-play presentation.
