THE SIMPLE PAST

1. Use the simple past tense for actions that happed at a specific time in the past. The action started and ended in the past. Also when we use a time expression, a period of time, or habitual completed actions.

  • She went to the dentist
  • My family moved to Canada six years ago.
  • We watched TV for several hours.
  • I watched cartoons every morning when I was a child.
